Fine Art Instruction

              with

 Fay Bridges Hyatt

Proficient in oils watercolors and pencil, artist Fay Bridges Hyatt

has an extensive background in the study and production of fine

art.  Many of her paintings have been juried into local, regional

and national competitions winning numerous awards.  She is a

Signature Member of the Georgia Watercolor Society.  Fay has

extensive training in the discipline of fine art oil portraiture and

has received commissions to paint portraits for families, univer-

sities and businesses throughout the Southeast and Midwest

United States.

The artist also enjoys sharing her love of art, talent and the knowledge she has gained over the years.  She has taught numerous workshops throughout the Southeast in oil portraiture, and fine art compositons in watercolor and oils.  The artist taught for a period of ten years at the Turner Center for the Arts in Valdosta, Georgia.  She currently teaches on-going classes and workshops in Kaleidoscope's studio.

The artists strives to motivate and inspire, designing her classes and workshops to help each participant in the development of fine art principles and techniques.  Fay is a popular teacher and students comment on her ability to teach.

"Thank you very much for the fabulous workshop that you taught us!  I really enjoyed, but even

more importantly, I learned so much.  You are a great teacher!  I'm excited!"

                                                                                                       Sheryl Daniel, Johnson City, Tennessee

She makes every effort to give each participant the time and attention he/she needs in each class or workshop.  The sessions are informative, fun filled, satisfying and energetic.

Fay's artist's statement:  "Most of my career in art has been and is now devoted to portrait art.  However, I also relish producing fine art compositions.  Both my artistic ability and the development of it have brought so much to my life, serving to motivate, restore and challenge me.  A worthy occupation...I love to paint pictures!  The following scripture has been fulfilled in my life in many ways and surely one of them is through my art."  Isaiah 61:3 'Beauty for ashes and joy for mourning.'  "I enjoy teaching...my goal is to share my knowledge with others by encouraging them to find fulfillment in learning to paint and produce art."

One of Kaleidoscope's features is owner, Fay Bridges Hyatt's experience in fine art portraiture.  As a professional fine art portraitist, she has had the opportunity to paint portraits for families, individuals, and institutions throughout the Southeast and Midwest.  The artist paints people of all ages capturing likeness, dignity and poise as the portrait's subject is modeled from blank linen to form and substance. Her ability to achieve likeness and expression is noted among her clientele.  Fay has won numerous awards for her fine art compositions.  You can commission her to paint a composition for you!

The gallery's many fine artisans offer works in wood, metals, glass, pottery and clay.  Some of the wonderful items these artisans create are greeting cards, stained glass, fused glass, and cutting boards, just to name a few.  Kaleidoscope's pottery artists produce a large variety of pieces that are both functional and collectable.  The gallery also represents several jewelry artists who design beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings  incorporating precious and semi-precious stones, sterling silver, copper, fused glass and  pewter into their designs.
