Sandy's artistic flair, love of basket weaving, years of pottery classes and a successful pottery business ultimately led her to the idea of combining the two into one. The result was the development of her unique pottery pieces. Miller dyes her own reeds and incorporates them into handles and lids. Her pots and glazes are stunning; a delight to collect and own. The artist also throws pottery designs in which she incorporates colored wire in much the same way as she does basketry materials. Her functional pieces include mugs, tea services, platters, bowls, etc. Sandy was featured in Clay Times Magazine 2006 and recently featured a 'Black Porcupine' vase for sale through the HSN Shopping Network.
