Thank you very much for the fabulous workshop....I really enjoyed it, even more importantly, I learned so much. You are a great teacher! I'm excited! —Sheryl Daniel, Johnson City, Tennessee

Kaleidoscope, a beautiful art gallery and studio located in Historic Downtown Valdosta, Georgia is owned and operated by Fay and Jolie Hyatt. The gallery currently represents 25 local, regional and national artists, many of whom have won prestigious regional and national awards. These artists have created beautiful art pieces in a variety of media including stained glass, bronze, pottery, jewelry, watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, paper and wood. We've carefully selected our artists across many genre to provide something for every taste including florals, landscapes, still life, wild life, equestrian art wood vessels, jewelry and colorful abstracts. Most of the two dimensional works are original, but you will find a collection of framed and unframed prints, as well as several unframed original watercolor paintings. The works range from contemporary to impressionistic.

Kaleidoscope has a separate folk art gallery where the thought provoking and fun filled works of Arthur Riggs and the primitive folk art of Floria Yancey are currently on display.

The gallery also offers fine art oil portraiture by Fay Bridges Hyatt, who has filled portrait commissions for families throughout the Southeast and Midwest. You can see some of the artist's portrait samples as well as portraits in progress at Kaleidoscope or you may refer to her web site. Fay will work with you to paint the portrait you envision.

Whether you are an art collector, a decorator or simply someone looking for a gift that will become a lifetime treasure, Kaleidoscope offers a wide range of beautiful artwork. So please come in at your earliest convenience and see all the gallery has to offer.

Kaleidoscope offers a large studio space where the gallery owners bring the enjoyment of creativity to others through artistic inspiration and instruction. Fay, a popular teacher in fine art oils and watercolor, currently offers instruction. In addition to her personal instruction, the Kaleidoscope studio offers a calendar of workshops with artists of national reputation. One such artist, Gloria Mani of Columbus, Georgia taught a 'plein aire' workshop in late September of this year. Her work is beautiful and her painting style has led to requests for a much anticipated second workshop.

Anne Abgott a national award winning watercolor artist and writer of the bestselling book, 'Daring Color' will teach a three day workshop for Kaleidoscope in May of 2010. In late October of this year Fay will teach a workshop in fine art oil portraiture with plans for a workshop in watercolor portraiture in January 2010.

Kaleidoscope also has several artist openings planned. Currently, the gallery has Gloria Mani's 'Songs of the Marsh' on exhibit. This show will continue through March, 2010. If you would like more information about classes currently scheduled, future workshops, upcoming artist shows and gallery events please call or come by for a schedule of events, or check our events page.
